Inspired by this tutorial on the Martha Stewart website, I decided to glam up a few basic white paper lanterns that we had hanging in the store.
The project is super easy, with only a few materials needed: paper lanterns, tissue paper circles, and a tape runner (or double sided tape.) I used Unryu tissue in light green, light blue, dark yellow, and raspberry. You can either use a circle cutter, or cut the circles out by hand. It’s important to use a tissue that is thick enough to cut nicely, but thin enough for the light to show through.
Head over to Martha’s tutorial here for the step-by-step process!

Wow. These looks fabulous. Gonna have to try them out with my kid.
They look fabulous! I have a few lanterns left over from my wedding last July, this looks like a grean way to repurpose them.
