Secret Animal Scratch Sticker Cards

Friday, August 17th, 2012

I used some of the new animal scratch stickers (available instore) to make some interesting cards for some friends and family recently.

I used washi tape to decorate one side and glued a penny for scratching for a birthday card.  I made an envelope from the Floral Sukashi paper and stamped the corners with a scroll stamp in Robin’s Egg Pigment (all available instore).

I made an “Congratulations, It’s a Boy” card for my sister with the little lion scratch sticker.

I also added a scratch sticker to a letter I was sending to my pen-pal with a secret message in it.

Penpal Stationery

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012

I made some stationery sets this week to send to some of my international penpals.

I used a 4×6 inch wooden postcard and glued Katazome-shi and punched shapes in black text weight paper.

I used 5×7 inch luxe white precut cardstock with washi tape and an “abc” rubber stamp set with a bronze pigment ink pad.

I used 4×6 inch Etchu Hagaki with the “Flora and Fauna” rubber stamp set with a bronze pigment ink pad and an “abc” rubber stamp set with a black pigment ink pad.

Make some at home and send them, because who doesn’t like getting mail that isn’t bills or flyers.

You Say “Goodbye”, I say “Hello”!

Sunday, February 26th, 2012

Sometimes you just feel like saying hello. These cards fit my recent letter-writing mood perfectly. I adore the nostalgic designs. Remember rotary dial telephones? I sure do!

I made little packets of sweet dot stickers and tucked them into the envelopes. I love getting tiny surprises enclosed in letters, so here is hoping my penpals will be delighted too!

The letters were completed with current Queen postage, stamped with vintage-looking rubber stamps and sealed with gold and white striped washi tape. I’m off to the mailbox now.

Happy writing!
