Gift Wrapping for Mom

Gift Wrapping for Mom

For Mother’s Day, I wrapped my present for my mother in Nepalese Kongpo paper. I wrote a simple note on a piece of origami paper and attached an origami crane to the note with a crocodile paperclip. It’s simple and my mother can keep the paper clip and the beautiful paper afterwards.

For a more durable exterior for shipping, I used a natural heavyweight paper to wrap the entire package. To add a bit of colour to the package, I cut a simple border for the address using Katazome-Shi and paste it on to the natural paper. Alternatively, you can use markers to quickly add colour or pattern to the package.
